Kia ora, hello, I’m Michaela!
Born and bred in Auckland, my love for travel was ignited by my parents when they treated my brother and I to a European holiday when I was 18. Promising to come back to the continent, I saved up all my pennies until I left New Zealand at 22 for a nomadic journey through 18 countries.
Now in my 30’s I have explored 30 countries and over 169 cities (I’ve probably forgotten a few). This travel blog only explores a small percentage of these incredible experiences, and what better way to share my love for my country than to share it with you, From cycling 152km through central Otago to indulging at some of the best Japanese restaurants in Auckland.

I enjoy good food and the comforts of my own home, but I love the thrill of experiencing something new, you won’t find me jumping out of a plane prying that the parachute will open, but you will see me heli hiking on the Franz Josef Glacier and scaling cliff tops for that perfect sunset photo.
