Accommodation in Miami

Unfortunately we had rather rotten accommodation in Miami through AirBnb, and I soon learnt that short term stays like AirBnbs were illegal in Miami so that probably explained a lot.

If you’re looking for somewhere nice to stay but aren’t wanting a hotel, check out Royal Stay for some of the best places, especially for groups. Some of the rentals include pools and spacious dining areas, great for relaxing after a big night out or inviting friends over for a pre dinner snack or post night out swim. Always double check the reviews of your potential accommodation and google street view where you are staying if you can, you never know where you might end up with a flock of geese living on your doorstep.

Catamaran Cruise through Biscayne Bay

When it comes to unforgettable things to do in Miami, a catamaran cruise through Biscayne Bay tops the list. It’s your ticket to feeling like you’re living the Miami beach dream; sun, skyline, and sea all rolled into one. Gather your crew and set sail from Miami Beach, where panoramic views of the city await. Along the way, you can indulge in hot dogs and burgers served fresh from floating grills or hop on a jet ski right from the middle of the bay.

Whether you’re after a peaceful sail or a six-hour party on the water, catamaran cruises offer something for everyone. Don’t forget your camera and sunscreen—Biscayne Bay is full of moments you’ll want to capture and memories you’ll want to protect.

Our own adventure took us on a six-hour journey across the bay, ending at a secluded island perfect for swimming. The onboard bar was fully stocked with food and drinks, and even if you’re not a confident swimmer, the boat had floaties and pool noodles to keep everyone safe and relaxed.

This truly is a must-do on any Miami itinerary. There’s no better way to spend your final day in the city than stretched out on the bow of a boat, soaking up the sun. Catamaran party boats can host up to 49 guests and come with a lively crew of three who know how to keep the vibes high. The boat is loaded with water toys, and you’re welcome to bring your own food, drinks, and energy for the day ahead.

Our cruise took us to Luijo’s Island, tucked in the Miami South Channel near Virginia Key. It’s a hotspot for party boats, jet ski rentals, and most surprisingly, floating food barges grilling up hot dogs and burgers. Picture this: a boat full of sizzling grills pulling up beside you, handing over a menu with an outstretched pole. It’s Miami magic.

Wrap up your day with some well-earned takeaways or dive into the city’s electric nightlife. Miami Beach’s waterfront is lined with everything from intimate cocktail lounges to high-energy clubs spinning the latest hits. However you end it, your catamaran cruise will be the highlight of your Miami story.
